Set in sumptous Devon countryside and enjoying views over an adjacent lake, these holiday lodges offer extremely well appointed accommodation and their own private hot tubs. Easily accessible are the vast sandy beaches on the North coast, such as Putsborough, Croyde and Saunton. Close by, the Grand Western Canal and Country Park, offers boat trips and great walking and cycling, Knighthayes N.T. (3 miles), Killerton and Powderham Castle. Exmoor's seaside resorts, Dartmoor, the city of Exeter, south coast towns and north coast surfing beaches are easily accessible. Beauty treatments can be arranged (at extra charge). Pub 1 mile, shop 2 miles.

In the area

The South coast is just 30 minutes down M5, with the lovely beaches like Sidmouth, Branscombe, Exmouth and Beer, where you can take a deep sea fishing trip, from the beach.

Sidmouth has the famous Donkey Sanctuary, home to about 400 donkeys. Admission and parking are free. A great day out, with a trip to the beach.

Take the deep valley roads to Exmoor, passing through the charming villages of Bampton and Dulverton, boasting lovely shops and some fantastic restaurants.

On the doorstep, we have the National Trust property, Knightshayes, with amazing gardens and house, as well as Killerton and Powderham.

Bickleigh also has its Mill, with riverside shopping, bistro restaurant and bar. Opposite is The Fisherman’s Cot, a picturesque pub right on the river Exe.

A ten minute drive takes you to the old market town of Tiverton where you can visit its castle and museum. The bustling market day is held on a Tuesday. There is also a cinema and leisure centre, with 2 pools, fitness studio and tennis courts.

The Grand Western Canal country Park in Tiverton, offers horse-drawn barge trips, a floating gift shop, or you can hire a boat and row up the canal at your leisure.

For the golfers, there is a driving range, 2 miles away.

For the shoppers, Exeter offers some fantastic retail therapy, in the new Princesshay shopping quarter and while you're there; try out the excellent restaurants and coffee shops. Darts Farm food hall is packed full of incredible food and drink from small-scale, family run, artisan producers. If you need country clothing, Watermans in Tiverton will have all you need

For the children, near Exeter there is Crealy Theme Park, or closer are Quad world and Diggerland. Also Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park, The Bear Trail in Cullompton and Haldon Forest Park has the Zog activity trail and Go Ape. Bicton Gardens are great for adults and children, with beautiful gardens, train and large play area, where you can keep an eye on the children while you picnic and relax on the lawns.
